Megan Weir is a self-taught oil painter and 6th generation rancher from southeastern Alberta. She is passionate about working cattle and horses and draws her inspiration for her paintings from her surroundings. Her favourite subjects to paint are bison, cattle, and horses, with bold and expressive colours and strokes. Weir stumbled upon her talent six and a half years ago at a local paint night. Sparks flew as her brush hit the canvas for the first time and felt that this came from something greater than herself. She hasn’t looked back since and has created a successful business, selling prints, commissions, and originals throughout North America and overseas.
