Michael Sydoryk is a self-taught artist from Cochrane, Alberta with a honed focus on wildlife work, painting larger-than-life pieces that are vividly illustrative, and feature a contemporary experience through the great, bold brush strokes he employs.
His style can capture a range of the subject matter from motion, to serenity, capturing the emotional feel of whatever animal he has chosen to paint. His inspiration is wildlife and he elevates each piece with color, contrast and engaging compositions.
Sydoryk has been an artist at the Calgary Stampede Western Showcase since the start of his art career in 2017. He is represented by Avens Gallery in Canmore, Alberta and the Dick Idol Gallery in Whitefish, Montana.
